How Much Is a Taxi to Gatwick North Terminal?

Peak-time fares apply on weekdays at around 06:50–09:00 and 14:30–19:00. Tolls, congestion charges or route changes can also alter a final fare (see our Booking Terms).
Gatwick North Terminal Drop-Off: Charge and Location
The North Terminal drop-off zone is on the lower-level forecourt, between the Sofitel hotel and the multi-storey car park. Gatwick charges £10 for the first 10 minutes, then £1 for each extra minute up to 20 minutes. The maximum stay is 30 minutes, and the daily maximum is £30.
There are no barriers: cameras record the vehicle. The charge must be paid by midnight the day after the visit, online, by phone on 0330 174 4503 or through an AutoPay account. Blue Badge holders are exempt. See Gatwick’s drop-off charges page for the current rules.
The airport also offers a free alternative. You can drop passengers in the Long Stay car parks, which give two hours free, and a free shuttle bus takes them to the terminal. Express drop-off at the terminal is an optional extra on our bookings. The airport sets the charge and we pass it on at cost, so confirm the amount when you book.
Gatwick North Terminal Pick-Up: Where to Meet Your Driver

- Meet and greet inside the North Terminal costs £7 extra and includes flight monitoring.
- Meeting point: your booking confirmation tells you where to meet your driver. Call 020 7121 8888 if you want to confirm it before you travel.
- Flight delays: we track them and do not charge for them. Otherwise, waiting time costs £0.34 a minute (about £20 an hour).
- Parking: we cover airport parking up to £7. The passenger pays anything above that.
Collecting a friend or family member yourself? Gatwick’s express pick-up areas are on Level 4 of Car Park 6, in the Short Stay car parks. They are charged at the standard Short Stay rates, and you must stay with your vehicle. A free option is the Long Stay car park (up to two hours free, with a free shuttle bus). Gatwick has two terminals, North and South, and the fare is the same to both. Check your booking confirmation or your airline to see which terminal your flight uses, then choose it when you book. Taxi, Uber, Train or Gatwick Express to the North Terminal?
- Pre-booked taxi (One2One Cars): door to door, with a 24/7 office for early or late flights. You see your fare when you book, and we set peak-time fares in advance.
- Uber and other apps: convenient on the day, but prices follow demand, so they can change between searches.
- Black cab: normally runs on the meter, so the final fare depends on the traffic on the day.
