Landing at Stansted and wondering where your driver will actually be standing? With One2One Cars, your driver tracks your flight automatically and waits at the terminal’s designated pick-up point — either an outside “Express” spot a short walk from arrivals, or an inside Premium Meet & Greet position holding a name board, depending on which service you book. No app-hunting, no wandering the car park.
Where does Stansted Airport pick-up actually happen?
Stansted, like most major UK airports, doesn’t let ordinary cars wait directly outside arrivals — that’s what the express pickup and meet-and-greet zones exist for. If you’ve booked our standard fixed-fare transfer, your driver will be in Zone D, a short, well-signposted walk from the terminal building, and you get 10 minutes free waiting time once you land there. If you’ve booked Premium Meet & Greet, your driver waits inside the terminal, arrivals-side, holding a name board — no walk to a zone at all.
How much does Stansted pick-up cost?
Your journey itself is priced on a fixed fare from your home postcode — for example, £92 from Bayswater or £102 from Central London — with the airport-side pick-up option added as a separate line. See the full Stansted Airport Transfers page for the complete fare table by area.
| Pick-up option | Where you meet your driver | Additional charge |
|---|---|---|
| Zone D Express pickup | Outside, short walk from terminal | \u00a37 |
| Premium Meet & Greet | Inside terminal, arrivals-side, name board | \u00a315 |
What if I’m dropping someone off instead?
If you’re the one dropping a passenger at Stansted rather than being collected, note that Stansted’s own Express Drop-off charge is £7.00 — this is set by the airport itself, not by One2One, and we pass it on at cost with no markup. If you’re travelling from Victoria specifically, our Victoria to Stansted Airport transfer guide covers the fixed fare and both legs of the journey.
What about parking and waiting time while I wait?
Airport parking while your driver waits is included up to £7; anything above that is your responsibility (Stansted’s premium pick-up services use a slightly higher £10 threshold). Beyond your free waiting window, waiting time is charged at £0.34 per minute — roughly £20 an hour — though, again, this never applies to flight delays that are genuinely out of your hands.
Does the fixed fare change at busy times?
Peak-time fares apply roughly 06:50–09:00 and 14:30–19:00, Monday to Friday — but the fare is still fixed and quoted upfront, never a live meter creeping up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to call the office when I land?
No — your driver is tracking your flight and will already be at the agreed pick-up point. If anything changes on the day, our 24-hour office is on +44 20 7121 8888.
What if my flight is delayed?
Flight delays are tracked automatically and are never charged as waiting time.
Can I cancel or change my Stansted pick-up after booking?
Cancellations are free up to 4 hours before pickup. Inside 4 hours, a 100% charge applies and changes must go through the office by phone, not email — call +44 20 7121 8888.
Is Premium Meet & Greet worth it for a family with luggage?
If you’re travelling with young children or a lot of luggage, most passengers find the £15 inside pick-up worth it to avoid the Zone D walk.
